Mardi Gras with New Orleans flavour

There was no jambalaya for the sampling and neither could any zydeco be heard, but nevertheless, it was a jam session that could rival any in New Orleans.

At least, that's what most people thought who attended Bourbon Street Restaurant last Saturday evening for the opening of Mardi Gras, New Orleans style.

Performing to the audience's delight were Nicholas Brancker on keyboard, Vere Gibson on drums, Earl Dawson on guitar and Andre Woodvine on sax.

"Thrilling" is the only word which could describe the sultry-voiced CiCi who jazzed up the night's affair in her own inimitable way.
